An Introduction to Wilderness & Adventure Therapy – Friday, Nov. 3 at the Ocoee Whitewater Center Recreation Area Parking Lot (9:00am to 11:00am).

Have you ever desired to remove yourself from the hustle and bustle of everyday life? Do you feel called to discover peace that comes from the natural world? If so, this unique program is custom-tailored just for you.

Come join us and learn all about Ranger Jeremy’s personal journey into Adventure Therapy. During this program, we will discuss the concept of Wilderness Therapy, Adventure Therapy, and we will also examine the ancient/primal art of Forest Bathing.

This program will be led by (2018 Appalachian Trail Thru-hiker), Ranger Jeremy. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Counseling and a Masters of Arts in Discipleship & Small Group Ministry. Ranger Jeremy has a strong passion to see people from all walks of life discover just how nature can be the best medicine for those who are open to it.

 

WHERE: Initially, we will meet at the Driving Bridge/Bathroom Area of the parking lot. This area is located about .2 miles west of the former Ocoee Whitewater Center. Then we will hike approximately ½ of a mile along the Old Copper Rd Trail.

The trail is “easy” on a difficulty level. Make sure to bring sturdy hiking shoes, water, and whatever else you might enjoy on this beautiful hike.
